Despite the sudden drop in temperature here in New York, and enduring an annoying cough, we’ve been seeing steady progress on several projects! To recap this past month…
We hosted two networking mixers for our local New York community!
I really appreciate everyone who came out for our events on the October 18th and October 28th respectively. Both nights were a blast and I’m excited for the next one!
The latter event also kicked off the crowdfunding campaign for our upcoming short film Nowhere But Here, which will have another event in mid-December…
We are now actively crowdfunding for our upcoming short film Nowhere But Here!
A sci-fi romcom about two exes at the end of the world, Nowhere But Here is a short film by Celine Cheung.
In 2024, the screenplay was selected for development by the Elif Collective and Personal Pizza Party, and was workshopped with Kit Kauhar at Adult Film NYC.
Celine has also been joined on the two-hander cast by actor Nicholas Matos, whose past credits include Smash on Broadway, Law & Order, and several off-Broadway productions.
We’re now seeking the support of our community to continue the script’s journey into becoming a short film.

We’re hosting an auction fundraiser event on Friday, Dec 12th!
Join us for happy hour at the Starr Bar in Brooklyn, where we’ll be hosting a silent auction to finish fundraising for Nowhere But Here!
Goods and services for auction will include professional headshots, script consultations, tips on making your next acting reel, freshly-baked cake, and much more!
Attendees will be able to place bids throughout the night while they enjoy the bar and atmosphere, and by at the end of the night we’ll announce our winners.

Our short film Shallow premiered at the Virginia Film Festival!
We had a blast in Charlottesville this past month where I was joined by editor Robbie Cook for the premiere of our coming-of-age short film Shallow!
It’s been a long-time dream of mine to screen a film at the Virginia Film Festival, an event I’ve been attending annually since I can remember.
I want to give a huge shoutout to the staff there for being so accommodating and making it a special experience! We were very grateful for their hospitality throughout the long weekend.
Also, so stoked to be sharing more of Shallow in the near future. Keep an eye out for an announcement in December!
